BabyZoo Alarm Clock for children, teach your child when to stay in bed! Review by Val

I was desperate... my 2 years old was waking up at 5am (sometime before) every single day! I thought that the eyes open/eyes close concept was easy to understand so I bought it... I could not believe I paid $40 plus for an alarm clock when you can get them for a dollar at the dollar store (believe me it is not made of gold). It was very easy to set up. You can turn off the jungle sound (although the eyes opening sound is loud enough to wake up anybody).

My son didn't like it! He was scare of it because of the noise it makes when the eyes open and close. I returned it and started to look for one with the light concept but it was hard because my son doesn't know his colors very well yet. The price of all the other clocks were very high as well.

So here is my solution:
plug-in timer ($3.97 at walmart)
lightning McQueen night light ($1 at dollar tree)
TOTAL = $5

I set the time to be ON at 7pm (his bedtime) and turn OFF and 6am (the desired wake up time).
When the light is on it mean sleeping time, when the light turn off it's day time (wake up time).
I have a 2nd nightlight with sensor so his room is not all dark when the McQueen light turn off.

Don't be desperate, be money smart!!!

First of all, this is not a toy. Unfortunately, this clock does not keep my daughter in bed. She likes to play with Momo and take the battery cover off. I didn't realize the clock doesn't stay lit up so she can't see the eyes unless we set it next to a night light. I definitely would not buy this again or recommend it to anyone, especially given the price.

my LO likes mo-mo too much. we had to put him away because he was staying up playing with mo-mo, turning the light on, singing and telling mo-mo stories. he's 2.5 yrs, took him 3 nights to figure out how to remove the back and open and close mo-mo's eyes. we'll try mo-mo again in a few months, till then we'll just keep waking up between 4-7 am. he is cute and hopefully we'll use the clock functionality down the line.

BabyZoo Alarm Clock for children, teach your child when to stay in bed!:: Description

This unique and cute Sleep Trainer shows in an intuitive way when your child is allowed to get out of bed or still needs to catch some sleep: Eyes Closed - "I should be sleeping", Eyes Open -"Rise and shine!": How does it work? At bedtime, show your child that Momo is going to sleep. With one push on the button you close Momo's eyes. You whisper: "Ssst, Momo is sleeping. Be quiet now otherwise you wake him up." Then you explain that as long as Momo is sleeping he/she needs to stay quiet and try to catch some more sleep. Only when Momo opens his eyes, it is time to wake up!
