Finally something that really kills nutsedge. It takes about a week for the nutsedge to turn yellow. After two weeks you can see it's dying and some of it is already dead.

I had a real watergrass (sedge) problem. I decided to try this. I applied it and about 7 days later, noticed that the grass was turning a brownish yellow, but still growing. Another 2 weeks later, it is no longer growing. My problem has been eliminated. I can't recommend highly enough.

Tried various herbicides to stop the invasive Nutgrass (Nutsedge) that is taking over lawns here in East Central Ohio.It Seems that warm and wet seasons are what causes this plant to thrive. Tried pulling it out of the ground at first. It has a short root system and a ball (nut) that the long yellow/Green grasslike blades stem from.This makes it easy to pull from damp soil.Niether of these strategies worked as the plants just continued to emerge.
After some online resaerch I tried Sedgehammer Plus W/Surfactant. One 0.05oz packet from Amazon.com mixed with one gallon of water in my garden sprayer treated my small urban lot. (1000sq.ft.).It's been two weeks and the sedge is almost completely gone. I would recommend this product very highly.

How To Use NEW Sedgehammer+ Formula Open packet and pour into 1 gallon of water. Swirl or mix the solution thoroughly. One packet will cover 1,000 sq ft. DO NOT add any non-ionic surfactant - it is already included in the packet for easy mixing. While spraying, periodically swirl or shake the mixture to keep the product evenly distributed in the water. Do not store the mixed solution as it will degrade and become ineffective.
